Introduction
As China’s economy continues to develop, the country’s healthcare sector is growing rapidly due to improved living standards and an aging population. This dynamic industry has captured the public’s attention and has huge market potential. The Outline of the Program for Healthy China 2030 predicts that the healthcare industry will reach a value of RMB 16 trillion by 2030. This represents a strategic opportunity for the healthcare industry, which in turn is expected to drive significant growth in the healthcare informatics sector.
With high barriers to entry, the healthcare industry offers exceptional investment opportunities with potentially higher returns than other sectors. Regardless of economic fluctuations, this industry has an enduring appeal to entrepreneurial investors because of the fundamental public and governmental demand for disease prevention and health improvement. The next decade is expected to be a golden period for entrepreneurial investment in the healthcare sector.
The CEIBS Smart Healthcare Startup Programme aims to increase the success rate of healthcare entrepreneurs and facilitate the robust growth of their businesses, thereby promoting the rapid development of China’s healthcare industry.
