Mr. Liu holds a PhD in Medicinal Science from the Second Military Medical University in China, as well as an EMBA from the prestigeous China Europe Internaltional Business School (CEIBS)

Prior to joining Jala in 2009, Mr. Liu already had a stellar carrer at Jahwa, where he progressed to become Director of Research, General Manager of Innovation Center, Deputy General Manager and then General Manager of Jawha group.

Dr. Liu also held responsibility as Chairman of the Board of Executives of SC Johnson & Son (Greater China), a JV formed between Jawha and the US based SC Johnson group.

Under the request from the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), Dr. Liu worked as Senior Advisor to MOFCOM to promote internal trade and collaboration after his career at Jawha.

Dr. Liu has been a strong advocate to promote the development of cosmetic industries as well as the advancement of science and technologies as key enabler for achieving transformational consumer benefits and sustainable development of the industries. He has been instrumental in establishing the Society of Cosmetic Scientists of China (inaugurated on June 14 th , 2016) which will represent China at IFSCC communities. Under the request of the State Council of China, he also authored the Strategic Development Path of cosmetic industries which becamepart of China’s 13 th Five-Year Plan.
