Mr. Li Yongzhong serves as General Manager of Shanghai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Director of Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Sino-American Shanghai Squibb Pharmaceuticals Ltd. He is also Executive Director of Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd., in charge of the distribution and retail business.

As a young leader in the pharmaceutical commerce sector in China, Mr. Li acts as Vice President of China Association of Pharmaceutical Commerce. He joined pharmaceutical distribution industry in early 1990s when the transformation of China’s pharmaceutical industry began to gather momentum. Throughout his 25 years of career, he has leveraged the medical reform to help transform Shanghai Pharmaceutical from a traditional company engaged in regional pharmaceutical wholesale to a modern company with pharmaceutical distribution business across the nation, whose value has grown from less than RMB 10 billion to over RMB 100 billion. He has also made pioneering contributions in new areas such as hospital supply chain service, electronic prescription, and pharmaceutical finance, facilitating the upgrade of the pharmaceutical distribution industry into a technology-based healthcare service industry.
