Zhang Wei is Party Secretary, Chief Doctor and PhD Supervisor at West China School of Medicine/West China Hospital, Sichuan University, Chief Scientist of Medical Big Data Center, Sichuan University, and Director of West China Biomedical Big Data Center. His long-term research interests involve psychiatry and mental health, health policies and hospital management, as well as people-oriented hospital management models. He has undertaken over 10 national programs, including the 863 Program, the 973 Program, as well as the pillar programs during the 10th Five-year Plan, 11th Five-year Plan and 12th Five-year Plan periods. He has published more than 150 papers, authored and co-authored more than 10 books.
