Mr. Ge Yanfeng serves as the research fellow and Director-General of the Research Department of Social Development, Development Research Center of the State Council. He is a member of the Expert Consultation Committee, the State Council Leading Group for Deepening Medical and Health System Reform, and a member of the National Education Advisory Committee. He is also Vice President of the Chinese Health Economics Association and adjunct professor at several universities. His major research interests include social security, employment, health care system reform, education system reform, and public sector reform. He has participated in and presided over many policy research projects in related fields. In May 2010, he expounded on the medical reform during the 20th collective learning session of the 17th Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee.
