Prof. Chen Shimin is the Zhu Xiaoming Chair Professor in Accounting and Associate Dean (Case Centre) at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Previously, he was the Associate Dean for MBA at CEIBS and Associate Head at the School of Accounting and Finance, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After obtaining a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia, he also taught at the Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Hong Kong Lingnan University, and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Prof. Chen has extensive experience in teaching and research. He has taught various courses in different degree and executive education programs, received many teaching/research awards and grants, and published numerous articles in leading academic journals internationally. He is currently an Elsevier Highly Cited Chinese Researcher. Prof. Chen is an award-winning case author, with his cases published at ChinaCases.Org, Harvard Business Publishing, Ivey Publishing, and the Case Centre. Prof. Chen is a Certified Management Accountant in the U.S. He actively participates in corporate governance by serving as an independent director in companies listed in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.
