Hu, Guangzhou
Professor of Economics, CEIBS
Dr. Guangzhou (Albert) Hu is Professor of Economics at CEIBS. He taught at the National University of Singapore prior to joining CEIBS. Dr. Hu received his Ph.D. in international economics from Brandeis University, and B.A. in international finance from Nankai University.
Dr. Hu’s research interests center on the economics of technological change and the Chinese economy. Dr. Hu’s research has appeared in academic journals including Journal of Comparative Economics, Journal of Development Economics, Research Policy, and Review of Economics and Statistics.
He teaches courses on Chinese economy and technological innovation.
Dr. Hu is an associate editor of China Economic Review and an advisory editor of Research Policy. He has consulted for international organizations including the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, the World Intellectual Property Organization, and the United Nations. Dr. Hu has written op-ed articles for the Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao.
