Executive Forum: Dedication. Diligence. Focus. – How to Empower Overseas Invested Brands

We cordially invite you to attend our Executive Forum on January 16, 2019, where Fosun Fashion Group Chairman Joann Cheng will give a presentation on “Dedication. Diligence. Focus. – How to Empower Overseas Invested Brands.”

Fosun Group is one of China’s largest conglomerates, with an investment arm that is increasingly active across the global fashion industry. Fosun has its own investment strategy and ecosystem and operation strategy, one which combines the momentum of China’s growth with global resources.

As China becomes a major growth driver of the global luxury market, Fosun has developed its own comprehensive customer-to-maker (C2M) strategy. Essentially, the company acts as a digital connection between consumer needs and smart manufacturing, integrating channels such as CRM, online, social media, and retail stores to better analyse and utilise data. Furthermore, it connects the supply chain to drive business decisions that eventually benefit and cater to consumers’ needs.

Please join us to learn more about how to empower overseas invested brands as Joann Cheng presents Fosun Fashion Group’s:

  • Vision & Mission
  • Investment Strategy and Ecosystem
  • Operation Strategy (Understanding the Market, Human Capital, Time & Speed, Geography & Culture)
  • Group Synergies
  • C2M Strategy

Joann Cheng is the Chairman of Fosun Fashion Group, a branch of Fosun International Ltd. focusing on fashion investment and management. In addition to her role at Fosun, Joann also serves as Chairman of the Board at Jeanne Lanvin, an iconic French fashion house with a worldwide reputation, and as a supervisory board member of Tom Tailor Holding SE and Wolford AG.

Joann has taken a leading role in the overall operation and investment of Fosun Fashion Group, including brands such as Lanvin, Wolford, St. John Knits, Caruso, and Tom Tailor. Acting as Chairman of Fosun Fashion Group since its establishment, she has led FFG through numerous investments and in post-investment management in the fashion industry. As a result of her work, Joann was selected as one of The Business of Fashion’s 500 People Shaping the Global Fashion Industry in 2018. In addition, her executive interview about the global economy appeared in The State of Fashion 2019, an annual fashion industry report published by The Business of Fashion and McKinsey & Company.

Joann has extensive experience in financing, investment, corporate strategy, and portfolio management. She has accumulated a great deal of in-depth knowledge and experience over the course of a 20-plus-year career serving in various roles. Before joining Fosun in 2016, she served as CFO of DJI Innovations, Finance Director of TPG, and Greater China Controller of GE Capital, prior to which she began her career in KPMG.
