The “Phase One” trade agreement between the US and China has been signed, but the issue is far from settled - is it a truce or a peace? Long-held beliefs that the world economy was progressing on a path of deepening economic integration have been shattered. It is now more urgent than ever to better understand the geopolitics behind the conflict, as well as the real challenges we are facing.
