Co-founded by the Chinese government and the European Union in November 1994, CEIBS has grown into a world-renowned business school, a recognised role model of effective cooperation between China and the EU. For over a quarter of a century, CEIBS has been committed to establishing itself as an enduring platform for economic and cultural exchange between China and Europe as well as between China and the rest of the world. Over the years, CEIBS’ focus has evolved from introducing and interpreting classic management theory from the west, to shaping and sharing Chinese management expertise in an era of globalization. Today, CEIBS is widely recognized as the preferred source of knowledge on best management practices in China. 

As the Chinese saying goes, “When climbing a steep mountain, only those who do not shirk hardship will make it to the top.” On the historic occasion of the 70^th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, and the 25^th anniversary of CEIBS, join us in looking back at our strenuous yet fruitful journey while confidently looking ahead to the next chapter of the CEIBS story.
