Introduction

In today’s economic climate, the ability to escape the pitfalls of cutthroat competition and price homogenization is critical for Chinese enterprises aiming to secure long-term survival and growth. Through in-depth research into numerous companies, we have found that while surface-level challenges such as fierce market rivalry, innovation gaps, price-sensitive consumers, overcapacity, and short-term performance pressures are often cited, deeper issues lie in inadequate end-to-end supply chain management capabilities. Conversely, companies that adopt a modern, strategic approach to supply chain design and leverage process optimisation, collaborative mechanisms, and digital tools to integrate resources and capabilities can carve out a competitive advantage. This holds true even in traditional, low-tech industries or during the early stages of entrepreneurship in which enterprises have limited resources. By strengthening their supply chain foundations, these businesses not only boost profitability but also pave the way for sustainable, long-term success.

Within this context, this programme aims to help participants grasp a thorough understanding of modern supply chains, moving beyond the misconception of the supply chain as just a functional department or a cost-cutting tool. By examining a range of relevant case studies, including firsthand accounts, participants will gain insights into various strategies and practical guidelines for creating unique “product + service” solutions through the integration of “digitalisation + supply chain” – a tangible representation of emerging productive forces. This knowledge will, in turn, offer valuable insights for optimising the operational efficiency of their own enterprises.

A certificate of completion will be awarded
