Insights into Cognitive Biases: Effective Decision-making in Management
Date: July 12-13, 2025
Venue: Shanghai
Participants
This programme is designed for individuals who need to make critical decisions in their personal lives, careers, or entrepreneurial endeavours. It is particularly suitable for those with a keen interest in psychology, management and investment decision making, and the like.
Introduction
Have you ever wondered why you always put off dieting instead of starting right away? Or why extraordinary parents often have children who turn out to be ordinary? Do investors lean toward more aggressive strategies when they win, or when they lose? What cognitive pitfalls lurk behind the old adage “beauty is a fatal gift”? How do horoscopes and personality tests manipulate the public psyche? If these questions intrigue you, this program is for you.
Whether in our personal lives, at work, or in our entrepreneurial endeavours, we make decisions all the time. Sometimes we can make these decisions based on comprehensive analysis. More often, however, we lack the information, time, or energy for comprehensive analysis and end up relying on our gut instincts. These instincts can lead us astray, however, resulting in unexpected decision biases. This programme will take you on a journey to recognise and understand these common biases, delve into the psychology that underlies them, and learn how to use them to improve our overall well-being
Programme Content
The programme focuses primarily on biases in individual decision making from four dimensions: time, probability, value, and thinking.
A certificate of completion will be awarded
