Zhong Lixin

Zhong Lixin holds a post graduate diploma and a master's degree in material science and engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Before he joined SAIC in 2003, he worked for the Shanghai Municipal Government,acting as liaison with Shanghai’s industrial system. He used to be Assistant to the President of the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp (Group). Currently, he serves as board director of SAIC Motor and Huayu Automotive Systems Co., Ltd.(HASCO), chairman of the Trade Union of SAIC Motor, and member of CPPCC Shanghai Committee. In line with SAIC’s “New Four Modernization” strategy focusing on car electrification, connectivity, intelligence, and sharing economy, Mr. Zhong carried out a project at SAIC to launch the “88 Explorer” car sharing platform, which aimed to explore shared mobility business models. With blockchain technology introduced in 2017, the project became a pioneer in blockchain empowered mobility services. It won the second prize in the Yangtze River Delta Blockchain Application Innovation Competition, and has applied for two national invention patents.
