CEIBS Global EMBA Master Class in Beijing
We invite you to attend CEIBS Global EMBA Master Class in Beijing on Innovation for Assessing and Developing Organisation’s Business Strategy on June 5, 2025.
About this event
International and Chinese companies are facing major strategic questions like never before. De-risking, near shoring or going global are major changes to the company strategy and they are pivotal decisions to business leaders. Strategy’s aim in business is to achieve and sustain superior performance. Most managers know that achieving such performance is becoming more difficult and is increasingly unlikely without having ‘innovativeness’ as one of their firm’s dynamic capabilities. However, when thinking about innovation, it is common to focus exclusively on new ways of doing things – e.g., new technologies, new production methods or new routes to market. In this master class, Professor Moran will explore a framework for thinking more broadly about Strategic Innovation in a way that is also useful for assessing and developing your organization’s business strategy. He will draw on examples from a variety of companies to build a definition of “Strategic Innovation” that will help attendees to develop more innovative business models.

Dr. Moran’s research in strategy and entrepreneurship focuses on the mechanisms of value creation and how they are influenced by firms and social networks. His research has been published in the Strategic Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Sloan Management Review, California Management Review and in numerous book chapters. Collectively, it has received over 7000 citations on Google Scholar and a number of his publications are included in doctoral seminars at top business schools.
