Dr. Han Jian is currently a Professor of Management at CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) and serves as the Director of the CEIBS Center for Organizational Growth and Talent Development. She holds a Ph.D. from Cornell University and previously taught at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management before joining CEIBS.
Dr. Han’s research focuses on enhancing competitive advantage and promoting corporate sustainability through organizational and talent management. She has published over 30 articles in leading international journals, covering topics such as strategic human resource management, employer branding and recruitment, multilevel organizational analysis, organizational empowerment, employee motivation, diversity and innovation, and top management team dynamics. Several of her papers have been included in the Best Paper Proceedings of the Academy of Management (AOM), and her work has been featured in chapters of international professional books. Her insights have also been cited or featured by prominent media outlets such as CNN, Financial Times, Fortune, China Daily, CCTV, and Sino-Foreign Management Review.
In teaching, Dr. Han has received the Academy of Management (AoM) HR Division’s Innovative Teaching Award and the CEIBS Teaching Excellence Award. She is the founding Program Director of CEIBS’ Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) program and serves as Co-Academic Director for CEIBS‘s Advanced Management Program. With extensive corporate training and consulting experience, she has developed numerous award-winning teaching cases, some of which have been compiled into books.
Beyond academia, Dr. Han is actively engaged in institutional and societal service. She is a two-time recipient of CEIBS’ Faculty Service Excellence Award, a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council since 2012. She was also named among the global “Radar List” of 30 thought leaders most likely to shape future business models.
