On January 30, world-leading academic publisher Elsevier released its 2025 list of Highly-Cited Chinese Researchers, with a total of 6,310 scholars from 543 universities, enterprises, and research institutions across China selected.

January 17, 2026. Shanghai- The CEIBS Global EMBA (GEMBA) programme welcomed a capacity crowd of over 350 attendees to its signature event, China Economic Outlook, today. Hosted on CEIBS’ Shanghai campus, this forum gathered  professors, economists and global business leaders to map out the most meaningful trends likely to shape the Chinese economy in the coming year. The event was hosted by CEIBS Professor of International Business and Strategy and Associate Dean (Africa) Shameen Prashantham.

Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the CEIBS Board of Directors, Professor Ding Kuiling and Professor Eric Cornuel, are pleased to announce the renewal of Professor Wang Hong’s appointment as President of China Europe International Business School, together with the appointment of Professor Frank Bournois as Co-President (European) of the school for the 2026-2030 term. In addition, President Emeritus Professor Dominique Turpin will continue to serve the school through specific international assignments until August 2027.

December 2, 2025. Shanghai - The 7th CEIBS Strategy and Entrepreneurship Annual Academic Symposium took place today at the CEIBS Shanghai campus, during which speakers gathered to explore frontier topics including artificial intelligence, strategic human capital, business and society, and other emerging areas shaping today’s business landscape.

On December 15, the 2025 International Case-based Education and Research Symposium (ICERS), coorganized by the Faculty of Business at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, CEIBS, and Ivey Business School at Western University, kicked off at CEIBS Shanghai campus.

In today’s rapidly evolving business environment, the case method remains one of the most powerful approaches to connecting theory with practice, deepening managerial insights, and fostering reflective thinking among future leaders. To promote indepth dialogue and collaboration within the global business education community around casebased education and research, the symposium has adopted “Bridging Theory and Practice” as its core mission. By leveraging the pedagogical innovation, global reach, and case publishing expertise of the three leading business schools, the symposium brings together exceptional scholars and educators from around the world who are devoted to advancing case teaching, research, and development. Together, they will explore the future of the case method and its potential for value innovation in a dynamic global landscape. For the first time, the 2025 agenda offers a more comprehensive and integrated program—from teaching demonstrations and casewriting workshops to qualitative research sessions and international roundtables—covering the full spectrum of case-based education and research. By bridging classroom practice with academic inquiry, the symposium provides participants with diverse perspectives designed to advance the continued development and integrative innovation of the casebased education ecosystem.

Throughout 2025, as US-China trade tensions persisted and China recalibrated its economic strategy, CEIBS faculty remained indispensable voices in global media, offering sharp, balanced perspectives on everything from tariffs and deflation to innovation and corporate globalisation.
