The next session of CEIBS Professors Speech Tour will take Prof. Xu Dingbo to Wuhan on September 28/29, where he will give a presentation on:

China’s Economy and Enterprises – Reform, Challenges and Opportunities

When presenting the governments work report in March 2014, Premier Li Keqiang stressed the need for reform and giving a clear direction for state owned and privately owned companies.

But is there still potential for high speed growth in China? How to improve the efficiency of the Chinese capital market? What should be the main points of reform for SOEs? What are the main challenges and opportunities faced by privately owned enterprises? Where will be the next M&A opportunities for Chinese companies? These will be among the questions Prof. Xu is going to discuss during his visit to Wuhan.

Dr. Dingbo Xu is Professor of Accounting at CEIBS. 

He received his Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Minnesota. He earned both his master's degree in Management and bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wuhan University. His research focuses on mechanism design, the role of accounting information disclosure on management decision-making, performance evaluation and incentive. His research has been published in the Journal of Economic Theory and several books.
