Yu Wei is a professor at the School of Public Economics and Administration, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE); member of the Policy Advisory Committee, the Medical Reform Office of the State Council; and editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Health Policy, Chinese Health Economics and China Health. He served as an assistant professor at the School of Medicine of Boston University and has been a senior researcher with the Healthcare System Health Economics Resource Center of the U.S. Federal Veterans Department, and a senior researcher with the Center for Health Policy of Stanford University. He is the Executive Deputy Director of the School of Public Economics and Administration of SUFE and the director of the Health Policy and Management Research Center. Prof. Yu’s research interests include health economics theory and policy, medical insurance and hospital management. He received his Master Degree and Ph.D. in economics at Clemson University and completed a postdoctoral research on health economy at Boston University.
