Julio was appointed President and General Manager of Lilly China in January 2018. Julio has been with Lilly for 23 years, and served as general manager of Lilly affiliates for the last 11 years.

Julio is an Executive Committee member of R&D-based Pharmaceutical Associate Committee (RDPAC) and member of the Corporate Advisory Board of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). In 2018, Julio was recognized with the ‘Leading Talent’ award by Jing’an District’ in Shanghai.

Before joining Lilly China, Julio was President and General Manager of Lilly Brazil between 2013 and 2017, based in São Paulo. He was also Area Director for LACMASS (medium and small size countries in Latin America) and General Manager for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, based in Buenos Aires.

Others past experiences include leading Lilly Ethics & Compliance program in international markets and heading the marketing organization for Latin America based at Lilly headquarters in Indianapolis.

Julio is a native from Argentina. He is a Certified Public Accountant from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.
