Cheng Chia was born and raised in Taichung. In 2010, he graduated from National Taiwan University with major in Economics. After the Compulsory military service, Cheng Chia joined a bio-tech start up in Suzhou. He managed numerous projects focusing on healthcare product sales in the B2B channel. In 2012, Cheng Chia co-founded Cupetit, a luxury dessert brand known for cupcakes and wedding desserts. After the brand successfully launched, he wanted to learn about the operations behind established organizations and thus decided to join a pre-IPO company in Shanghai. It's an US based company and makes automotive electronic systems. While working there, Cheng Chia was promoted to the position of Executive Assistant to President. He led projects ranging from IPO, fund-raising to strategic joint venture. In November 2016, Cheng Chia returned to his family business, which provides aluminum extrusions to various industries. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, Cheng Chia formed a strategic alliance with competitors and is helping expand the market to industries such as sports equipment, automotive, and new energy.

Outside of work, Cheng Chia loves to travel and is very passionate in exploring authentic cuisines and wines from different countries. He believes that trying new food is the best way to understand a new culture and history.
