David was born in China to a family full of military officers and scholars. After spending 7 years in Japan, he landed himself in the bloody cold Minnesota, USA for college education. He has a Bachelor Science degree in Computer Science from University of Minnesota.

Upon graduation, David joined a government agency as a computer scientist. As a key member, he helped to replace and introduce high performance platforms to support the operation of New England's bulk electric power system and transmission lines. Later on, he worked for the world's largest live event promoter and led teams in the U.S and India to provide the enthusiast the best-in-class search experience. More recently, David has been working with a group of top talents in Silicon Valley and helping Walmart E-commerce to build a large and its first Internet-of-Things (IoT) program.

David enjoys various sports, outdoor activities and traveling. He loves to learn different cultures and welcomes openminded intellectual conversations. Thinking of giving back to the community, David takes pleasure in volunteering work to help and support others. David currently serves as a mentor and participates in an apprenticeship program helping middle school students from disadvantaged communities in an effort to empower them to succeed in their education and beyond.
