Carrie Chen was born in China and moved to America at 11 years old. She graduated with a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 through a five year integrated programme.
Carrie completed an internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and later earned a full-time position as a tax associate assisting corporate and partnership federal tax returns in the Houston office. In 2016, she joined CCD Lighting as a marketing analyst facilitating the expansion into North America alongside managing client relation in the LED industry. Currently, Carrie is a processing manager at YourCause, a SaaS company that empowers corporations to run their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs through donations and corporate grants. She manages the complete payment cycle from the employees through their corporations to non-profit organizations, delivering billions of dollars in donations to charities across the globe.
Carrie has always found herself drawn to different cultures. She's observed different ways of life through living and working in the United States, taking years of Spanish throughout high school, studying abroad in ESCP Paris during college, and traveling to numerous countries around the globe. Carrie was active throughout college by immersing herself in various activities including serving as the external VP for Taiwanese International Student Association, hosting a weekly radio show on a local radio station in Austin, Texas, and volunteering with local non-profits and student organizations. In recent years, Carrie has developed a passion for healthy living, sustainable initiatives, and CSR.
