CEIBS Shanghai Campus Bathed in Melodious Music - 2018 CEIBS BBAC New Year’s Opera Night Held

December 9, 2017. Shanghai – The CEIBS Conference Center was transformed into an opera house this evening as the school hosted its 10th annual New Year’s concert. The 2018 CEIBS BBAC New Year’s Opera Night featured splendid performances by 150 artists from the Shanghai Opera House, which designed an elegant and festive evening of music exclusively for CEIBS that included both Chinese and international classics. CEIBS President Prof. Li Mingjun, Honorary President Mr. Liu Ji, Vice President and Co-Dean Prof. Zhang Weijiong and Vice President of the Shanghai Opera House Mr. Li Ruixiang attended, along with more than 800 CEIBS alumni, faculty, staff, and friends who have long supported CEIBS. Guests from BBAC were also in attendance.

Two CEIBS alumni, Yang Xiaorong (EMBA 2012) and Shen Jian (EMBA 2005), also entertained the audience with wonderful performances. During intermission attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere in the CEIBS Pyramid. School leaders joined the Shanghai Opera artists for a group photo on stage at the end of the performance. The alumni who attended were impressed by the novel performances and warm atmosphere, and said they hope to return to the campus more often to reunite with classmates at such events.

Over the past decade, the annual CEIBS New Year’s concerts have received generous support from alumni-run companies, including Wison, ChinaPnR, Mindray, Bridge HR, Tospur, CUAM, Future Land, and BBAC. This year’s sponsor BBAC introduced its popular “Mercedes me” brand with a cafe in the CEIBS Pyramid. The café married the brand’s message of elegance and innovation with the learning environment of the CEIBS campus.
