CEIBS Invites Applications for Faculty Positions in Strategy and Entrepreneurship
The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) invites applications for the following faculty positions with our Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department:
- Three (3) positions in Strategy (Open Rank)
- One (1) position in Entrepreneurship (Open Rank)
Successful applicants are expected to have an interest in the Chinese business context, teach related courses for MBA and EMBA students, executive education programme participants, and be active in scholarly activities. Past experiences in teaching executive programmes and programme directorship are highly valued.
- One (1) lectureship position in Strategy or Entrepreneurship (3-year term contract)
A lectureship is to support recent PhD graduates in developing into competent researchers and teachers at the Assistant Professor rank. Successful applicants are expected to teach MBA students and be productive in academic research.
Ideal candidates must hold a PhD (or equivalent degree) in a related field, have a demonstrated capacity for high-calibre research, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence. Preference will be given to those with relevant teaching experience with MBA and executive students.
Faculty compensation is internationally competitive and commensurate with qualifications. In addition to the base salary, CEIBS provides our faculty with an adequate housing allowance, an international school education allowance for children, international private medical insurance, and a private pension plan. The full annual compensation package for assistant professor rank starts from RMB 1 million. Additionally, the school offers generous research funding, teaching load reductions or bonuses for high-calibre scholarly publications, and a reduced teaching load for the first three years for Assistant Professors and above. CEIBS’ working language is English, and CEIBS faculty can choose to be based in Shanghai, Beijing or Shenzhen in China.
About the Department
The Strategy and Entrepreneurship Department includes faculty with diverse disciplinary backgrounds, including management, strategy, entrepreneurship, and international business, who share a passion for studying business phenomena in China from multidisciplinary and multilevel perspectives. Faculty research spans a wide range of topics such as corporate strategy, corporate governance, competitive strategy, entrepreneurship and innovation, new venture internationalization, MNC management, non-market strategy, sustainability management, and many others. Our faculty include editors in major academic journals and officers in various professional associations. Our faculty also publish regularly in top management and entrepreneurship journals, including the Strategic Management Journal, the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review, the Journal of International Business Studies, the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, the Journal of Business Venturing, the Journal of Management, the Journal of Management Studies, Research Policy, Organization Science, and Organization Studies, among many others.
