China’s veteran wildlife photographer Xi Zhinong explains why he chose this career path, and what he has seen and done in the past 30+ years as a wildlife photographer. He points out that a wildlife photographer in China has to spend most of the time racing against the extinction of wild animals. He has been trying to engage more people in conserving nature by establishing a website called “Wild China” and organizing wildlife photography workshops across the country.

Jonathan Woetzel, Senior Director of McKinsey & Company explains how urbanization is affecting the lives of billions of people in China. He explores the concept of new urbanization – building a cluster of cities, instead of one single city, which comes with zero-carbon emission and no pollution. He predicts that China’s urbanization will continue for another 20 to 25 years. In the future, he says, it does not matter which province in China you are from, everyone can just refer to themselves as “city people”.
