On the morning of March 20th, Dr. Jay O. Light, Dean of the Harvard Business School visited China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). This was Dr. Light's first visit to CEIBS. He was warmly welcomed by the school's Management Committee including Prof. Pedro Nueno, Executive President; Dr. Zhu Xiaoming, President; Prof. Rolf Cremer, Dean and Vice President; and Prof. Zhang Weijiong, Vice President and Co-Dean.

After a brief campus tour, Dr. Light participated in the panel discussion together with Professors of CEIBS including Prof. Xu Xiaonian, Prof. Arthur Yeung, Prof. Wang Jianmao, Prof. Chang Chun, Prof. Kwaku Atuahene Gima and Prof. Zhou Dongsheng. As corporate partners of CEIBS, Dr. Juergen Dahmer, President of Bayer Group Greater China and Mr. Nigel Knight, IBM Global Business Services Managing Partner were also presented at the workshop. The panel discussed two major issues: "China & the World" and "Developing Intellectual Capital". Experts expatiated on the topics actively. Afterwards, Dr. Light expressed his interest in the discussion and was impressed with what he saw at CEIBS.
CEIBS, together with Harvard Business School and IESE launched the Global CEO Programme in 2006 to help Chinese chief executives better understand the global economy and how they can operate more effectively outside the region. The programme also addresses the business and management demands on CEOs in China today and focuses on the effects of country differences on decision making and organizational competitiveness.
