The Global CEO Programme tailored for Chinese CEOs began its recruitment process for the 2007 programme. CEIBS had already received many inquiries from media about the progress of the programme. Based on the success of the 2006 programme, CEIBS will continue its cooperation with two of the world leading business schools Harvard and IESE to offer the CEOs of China's leading enterprises a unique learning experience on strategy and management.

The Global CEO Programme aims at helping the CEOs of Chinese enterprises expand their business knowledge and strategic insights, leverage global resources and opportunities to meet the current and future challenges, improve their global leadership skills, and get ready for leading their enterprises into a new era of globalisation.

Guo Wei, Global CEO Programme participant, CEO & President of Digital China (China) Limited, commented on the Programme, "Participating in this programme helped me open up my mind and view the overall economic development and industry trends from a global perspective. I acquired new ways of thinking about strategy and finance models. For me, the programme is very enlightening."

To ensure the high quality of the Programme, CEIBS has set rigorous recruitment requirements. The participants must be the top decision makers in Chinese enterprises, such as CEOs, presidents or chairman. In addition, all of them are required to have over 10-year experience in top management, from fast-growing successful enterprises, leaders in their industries, and possess unquestionable business ethics and high social responsibility.

CEIBS launched the Global CEO Programme in 2006 together with Harvard and IESE to meet the burgeoning demand of Chinese enterprises for enriching their global mindset. The faculty team for this Programme consisted of leading professors from the three schools. Their constructive instructions, interactive teaching approach and thorough discussion in management had helped the participants build a creative thinking pattern.

After the programme was launched, it immediately drew enthusiastic responses from CEOs in leading domestic enterprises, including more than 30 business elites represented by Guo Wei, CEO & President of Digital China (China) Limited, Dong Mingzhu, President of Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliances Inc., and Guo Guangchang, Chairman of Fuxing High-Tech (Group) Corp., Ltd.

Dong Mingzhu, learned 2 things from "Global CEO": "First, I pinpointed many differences regarding management through course study and case analyses, which helped me a lot in realising how to lead business to higher achievement and enhance control over business administration; second, I made friends with many excellent peers who essentially guaranteed the quality of the programme and interaction, ."

In 2003, CEIBS introduced the CEO Programme tailored for leading Chinese entrepreneurs,. The programme turned out to be very successful and attracted a large number of CEOs from many renowned Chinese enterprises. In two years, all together, more than 60 outstanding CEOs have attended the Programme. On the list of the first and second groups of CEO Programme participants, such prominent names as TCL, Vantone Real Estate, Wanxiang Group, Boshi Fund, Hongdou Group and Yurun Group could be found.

Another highlight of the Programme stemmed from a unique learning mode, which combined business visits and "study tours to Europe and America" ? to "study" at top business schools in the world. The Global CEO Programme consists of four modules, two of which are in Shanghai, one in Barcelona, Spain and one in Boston, United States. The last module also served as an end to the four-month Programme. Business visits and communication not only helped to enrich the programme content, but also promoted further ideological exchange and experience sharing among participants.

The Global CEO Programme is a special Executive Education Programme launched by CEIBS.  According to CEIBS, the success of a company, in addition to individual devotion and dedication, requires a superior organisation working to achieve a common goal. Therefore, this Programme is designed specifically for those Chinese CEOs who wish to retrospect, reflect and realize breakthroughs on these two perspectives.

The 2007 Global CEO Programme will draw more influential business elites in China, and will offer a marked contribution to developing Chinese enterprises' global competitiveness.
