April 6, 2006-The Delegation of the European Commission to China and Mongolia and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) present the "China 2006: Policy Initiatives and Implications" co-sponsored by China Daily's CEO Roundtable and the Wall Street Journal Asia.

CEIBS known for its leading industry forums and events again leads in the awareness on major policies and issues affecting the country. This time, this forum looks at the newly approved 11th Five-year Plan of the China's National People's Congress (NPC) given by Chairman Wu Bangguo.
Three of the country's outstanding economic and legal scholars from CEIBS presented their outlook on the implications of this new plan. Prof. Wu Jinglian , Baosteel Chair Professor of Economics, CEIBS, and Senior Research Fellow, Development Research Centre of the State Council, gave a speech on the "Change of China's Growth Pattern in the 11th Five-year Plan". Followed by Prof. Xu Xiaonian, Professor of Economics and Finance, CEIBS, with his speech on "The Change of Policy Making Process in the 11th Five-year Plan" and ending the day's event with the speech of Prof. Jiang Ping, Professor of Law and Former President, China University of Political Science & Law, on "China's Legal Construction in the 11th Five-year Plan".
