Since the reform and opening-up, tremendous changes have taken place in China, bringing about great achievements that attracted world wide attention. However, some bottleneck problems still exist, posing challenges over the development. It has entered our current focus to think through how to sort out solutions and accelerate the construction of socialism with reform as the means and innovation as the target.
On May 10th, Mr. Huang Qifan, standing member of Municipal Party Committee, deputy mayor of Chongqing, will deliver a guest speech in CEIBS Executive Form, titled "Reform and Innovation".
Mr. Huang Qifan, standing member of Municipal Party Committee, deputy mayor of Chongqing. He was born in Zhuji, Zhejiang. He has MBA degree (CEIBS EMBA 1998 intake) and title of research fellow. In April 1995, he became deputy general secretary in Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, deputy general secretary of the municipal government. He was once vice director of Municipal Systems Reform Committee, director of Municipal Economic & Trade Commission, and deputy Party secretary of Municipal Industrial Supervision. He was transferred to be deputy mayor of Chongqing in October 2001, in charge of municipal government affairs. His responsibilities include: industries (including national defense industries), education, public finance, information industry, state assets, taxation, finance, small and medium enterprises and radio supervision.
