Dear friends,

We cordially invite you to attend CEIBS Executive Forum on May 15, 2008, presented by Mr. Tom Doctoroff, Northeast Asia Area Director and Greater China CEO in JWT. He is going to share his vast experience and expertise on the topic of “Luxury in China: Goldmine or Minefield?”

Mr. Doctoroff completed his undergraduate studies at Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) in 1985 and his MBA at the University of Chicago in 1989. Having started his advertising career at Leo Burnett (Chicago) in 1989, Mr. Doctoroff jumped ship and joined JWT Chicago in 1992.  In 1994, Mr. Doctoroff moved to Hong Kong as Regional Business Director. In 1998, he landed in China as the Managing Director of JWT Shanghai, an agency that is now recognized by the marketing and communications industry as one of the finest on the Mainland. In 2002, he was appointed Northeast Asia Area Director (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Korea) and Greater China CEO. Under his stewardship, JWT Northeast Asia has emerged as one of the region’s most synergistically integrated, creatively dynamic and strategically insightful networks. In recognition of his contribution to Shanghai’s economic development, Mr. Doctoroff was a recipient of the prestigious “2004 Magnolia Government Award.”  He is also the author of "Billions: Selling to the New Chinese Consumer," a book published by Palgrave MacMillan in January, 2006. The Chinese version of the book was published by Orient Press in January, 2008.  Mr. Doctoroff is also one of the torch carriers for the Beijing Olympics 2008.

Founded towards the end of the American civil war, JWJ is more than 140 years old. For much of the history, it has been known as the “University of Advertising”. JWT invited everything from advertising research (1912) and branded content (1930) to strategic planning (1968). Some of JWT China’s key clients include: Unilever, DeBeers Group, HSBC, Inbev, Ford, B&Q, Unicharm, Perfetti and Nestle as well as several local enterprises such as Lenovo computers, Yili dairy and Anta shoes.

We look forward to seeing you at this much anticipated event.
