We cordially invite you to attend the open session of the Strategic Management Society Special Conference on China Strategies on May 30. "Challenges and Issues in Strategic Management in China."
Companies in China now face a much different external and internal environments as the market matures and competition intensifies while they are at different stages of growth. What would be the major strategic challenges for these companies and how would they be different from those in the west? The forum features a panel of senior strategic managers from leading organizations in China to address these issues. Each speaker will briefly talk about the strategic issues in their organizations, which will be followed by discussions with the audience. This would be a good opportunity to get some real insights on strategic management practices in China. Participants are encouraged to think ahead of discussion questions about strategic practices in China.
The speakers are as follows:
Ming Zeng, Yahoo China President. He is an expert on strategy and international business and once the vice president of Alibaba.
Dominic Barton, Chairman, Asia Pacific McKinsey & Company. Since joining the firm, Mr. Barton has directed a number of strategy and organizational projects for leading financial services firms and has worked on financial sector restructuring for many governments in Asia and South America.
Zhiguo Jin, President of the Tsingtao Brewery Co. He is a CEIBS EMBA 2002 alumnus.
