Mr. Davey joined Ford's Corporate Finance staff in 1976. He had overseas positions in Mexico (Finance Manager, 1981-1984) and Brazil (Corporate Treasurer-Autolatina, 1984-1989). In Brazil, he was a member of the AmCham Board. Keith Davey was Director of Business Strategy, Ford Asia Pacific & Africa (1999-2004) and Director of Business Development, Ford China (1993-1999). Mr Davey graduated in Economics from Stanford University and obtained his MBA degree from the Stanford graduate school of business.

During his school years and his career at Ford Motor Company, Mr. Davey has had the opportunity to live, learn, and work in five countries outside his home country, and to travel to and conduct business in more than 20 other countries. As an executive at Ford, he has had the responsibilities not only to manage day to day business challenges, but also to recruit and train new hires, and to mentor professionals in their careers. With these experiences, he has developed many insights into key factors for personal career planning and developing the skills and talents to take on leadership roles. During this session, Mr. Davey will present his insights, exchange ideas, and answer questions about these topics.

Keith Davey

Keith Davey is Vice President, Planning & Development, Ford Motor (China) Ltd.  He was Director of Business Strategy, Ford Asia Pacific & Africa (1999-2004) and Director of Business Development, Ford China (1993-1999). 

He joined Ford's Corporate Finance Staff in 1976.  He had overseas positions in Mexico (Finance Manager, 1981-1984) and Brazil (Corporate Treasurer - Autolatina, 1984-1989).  In Brazil, he was a member of the AmCham Board and of the Board of the American Graded School.

At Ford, he held positions as Corporate Analysis Manager for European Operations (1989-1990), for North American Operations (1990-1991), and as Controller of Ford's Global Casting Operations (1991-1992). 

He graduated in Economics and East Asian Studies from Stanford University and obtained his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the US-China Business Council, the National Committee on US-China Relations, the Asia Society, and Shanghai AmCham.

Mr. Davey and his wife, Jeanene, enjoy living in Shanghai as "empty-nesters". They have eight children and five grandchildren.
