82 MBA Teams from World's Top Schools Compete for CEIBS innovateCHINA Global Challenge April 28, 2008. Shanghai campus. - A total of 82 teams from the world's top business schools -- including Harvard, London Business School, MIT Sloan, and INSEAD -- as well as Top Asian schools such as Tsinghua SEM, Fudan IMBA, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University MBA, will compete for the nine spots available in the final round of the CEIBS innovateCHINA Global Challenge. read

CEIBS Hosts 1st Annual Luxury Brands Forum April 19, 2008. Shanghai campus - Three hundred international and domestic luxury brand executives, students and journalists packed the CEIBS Shanghai campus auditorium today and yesterday for the school’s 1st Annual Luxury Brand Forum. The forum, entitled "Winning Consumers with Luxury as a Value-Added Service," featured speeches from 17 top luxury industry executives, officials, or academic experts. read

ENTERTAINMENT ENVOY: Yang Lan, TV Host & Olympics' Goodwill Ambassador
Monte Carlo, September 23, 1993. On that date 15 years ago, this exotic European city was the gathering point for a small group of Chinese journalists flown over to report on one of the most important international news stories in China's recent history in terms of international image - the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on which city would host the 2000 Olympic Games.
Among the Chinese broadcast journalists in the Monacan capital was a 25-year-old TV reporter named Yang Lan, who was making her first trip to Europe. As assistant to renowned broadcast sports announcer Song Shixiong, Yang was given the daunting task of translating the IOCs decision live as millions of her compatriots tuned in back home. If the IOC were to choose Beijing, she would be delivering a glorious message to her nation. If not, she would be delivering a devastatingly disappointing message. Full Article

Chinese market to grow 39% in three years Professor Per V. Jenster, the professor of Strategic Management at China Europe International Business School in Shanghai, recently paid a visit to his home of Denmark, where he discussed his insights into the Chinese market, where there are now 500 wineries in operation with an estimated 178,000 hectares of wine and a population that drinks around 1.12 litres per head.
