CEIBS Professors Ding Yuan and Zhao Xinge on the Investment Value and Principles of A-share Companies

March 28, 2008. CEIBS Lujiazui International Finance Research Centre. - Two renowned CEIBS professors who have done extensive research on the performance of A-share companies, Ding Yuan and Zhao Xinge, were the honorary guest speakers at the latest Lujiazui Finance Salon. In front of an audience made up of representatives from banking, securities, insurance, funds, trusts, and investment firms, the professors shared their findings and thoughts on the investment value and principles of A-share companies. read

CEIBS' Center of Marketing and Innovation Holds First Annual Conference

March 26, 2008. Shanghai campus - The intersection between marketing and innovation, and how these concepts affect business development, were the focus of discussion today at CEIBS' full-day conference entitled: "Marketing, Innovation, and Business Growth." The event, organized by the school's Center of Marketing and Innovation (CMI), featured eight expert speakers and attracted more than 150 attendees. read

Shanghai campus. - This year's Being Globally Responsible Conference, the third since CEIBS students MBA initiated the programme in 2006, is expected to attract almost 300 participants from about 50 b-schools. Opening Ceremony of CEIBS 2008 EMBA Program Spring Class

On March 20th - With a world ranking of top 50 for 7 consecutive years, the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) EMBA programme welcomed the new participants of its 2008 spring classes (International Class, Shanghai Chinese and Shenzhen Chinese Classes). As many as 250 business elites from all over the world gathered together on CEIBS Shanghai campus, witnessing the grand opening ceremony. read

CEL-CEIBS PE Scholarship Recipients Named  

March 19, 2008 - The laureates of the 2008 CEL-CEIBS Private Equity Scholarship are MBA 2007 students Yang Zhou and Stephen Lin. They beat out 26 other applicants to snag internships at China Equity Link’s Beijing and Paris offices.  Running between six weeks and two months, each internship comes with an allowance of up to RMB25,000. read

CEIBS Prof. Pfoertsch Launches Chinese-language Edition of B2B Branding 

March 19, 2008. CEIBS-Lujiazui International Financial Research Centre -- More than 30 print, TV and radio journalists filled the CEIBS-Lujiazui International Financial Research Centre today for the launch of the Chinese-language edition of B2B Brand Management, written by CEIBS Marketing Professor Waldemar Pfoerstch and Kellogg Business School Professor Philip Kotler. The new release is the latest of 20 translations of the original English-language version of the book, which was published in 2006. B2B Brand Management has sold 10,000 copies in English and 100,000 copies in all languages combined. Publisher Truth & Wisdom Press reported that the first 6000 copies of the Chinese edition have already sold out. read

CEIBS Foundation receives Donation from CHIIC  

March 17, 2008. Shanghai campus - CEIBS announced today that investment leader China Holdings Inc International Commerce (CHIIC) has made a RMB 1 million financial contribution to the CEIBS' Education Development Foundation (CEIBS Foundation) to assist the funding of the business school's operations. Participants in the official signing ceremony included CHIIC President Edward Y.M. Zhu and CHIIC Strategic HR Director Robert Wu. read

CEIBS Foundation Receives Donation from EVOC  

March, 2008. Shanghai campus - CEIBS today announced that the China's leading manufacture of EIP (embedded intelligent platform), EVOC Intelligent Technology Co., has made a financial contribution to the CEIBS Foundation. The donation will assist the research and teaching activities of CEIBS' China Services Outsourcing Research Centre. read

Applications Open for EU-China BMT Scholarship  

March 14, 2008 - CEIBS is now accepting applications for the EU-China BMT Scholarship which, from 2008 to 2012, will provide 12 MBA scholarships a year -- six full and six partial -- for applicants from China’s less developed regions. read

President Zhu Xiaoming Receives CEIBS Department Briefings, Offers Strategic Solutions  

March 4-5, 2008. Shanghai campus -- CEIBS President Zhu Xiaoming attended several school departments during the past two days for a series of informational briefings. President Zhu attended presentations by the MBA, EMBA, and Executive Development programmes, as well as the Dean' s Office, Case Study Centre, Human Resources, and Logistics departments. During these briefings, he was accompanied by CEIBS Vice President Zhang Weijiong. read

ISB -- Test Drive for Social Ventures at GSVC Asia Finals   

The Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) Asia Round, held at the Indian School of Business (ISB), once again brought together the academic and the financial worlds to support the creation of sustainable social ventures. The GSVC is a global forum for entrepreneurs to showcase their plans, and for investors to support groundbreaking social ventures. It began in 1999 as a student-led initiative at the Haas School of Business in California, USA. In July 2005, the ISB was invited as an affiliate, and has, since the last two years, hosted the Asia Round of the Competition. The Asia Finals at the ISB was partnered with Helios & Matheson. Economist -- News from the schools, February 2008    

A familiar school topped the Financial Times' 2008 ranking of full-time MBA programmes in late January. But while Wharton took top spot for the third consecutive year, it was the impact of Asian schools that caught the most attention. Three programmes from the region made the FT's top 20 (four if you count INSEAD, which has campuses in both France and Singapore), with CEIBS of China placed highest at 11th (that would be: disregarding INSEAD's 6th place). The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ranked 17th and the Indian School of Business 20th-both were unranked in 2007. Full Article
