CEIBS Co-Organizes "Chinese Business Women in Leadership" Forum in Barcelona

February 26, CEIBS International Relations Office, Barcelona - Three of China's best known and most accomplished businesswomen spoke today in Barcelona, Spain at the Chinese Business Women in Leadership Forum co-organized by CEIBS: TV personality and Sun Media Investment Holdings Chairman Yang Lan, Beijing Illinois Founder and President Shi Xiaoyang, and China Capital Investment Group CEO Zhou Xiaoguang. All three speakers are alumni of CEIBS. read

CEIBS International Relations Office Opening - Barcelona, Spain; February 25, 2008  

February 25, 2008. Barcelona, Spain -- CEIBS officially opened its new International Relations Office today in Barcelona, Spain. The new office has been established to support CEIBS' growing alumni network, increasing interest from European applicants, and expanding number of activities held outside of China.  read

CEIBS President Zhu Xiaoming updates Vice Premier Wu Yi on the school' s progress  

February 22, 2008. Shanghai campus. - CEIBS President Zhu Xiaoming today updated Vice Premier Wu Yi, Vice Minister of Commerce Ma Xiuhong, and other senior government officials on the latest developments at CEIBS and the China Outsourcing Institute. The briefing, which was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology, and other government agencies, was part of the activities in which the CEIBS President participated during a visit to Anhui on February 21 to 23.  read

China Equity Links Offers Scholarships to CEIBS MBA Students  

February 10, 2008. Shanghai campus. - Managing Partner of China Equity Links (CEL) Mr. André Loesekrug-Pietri today announced that his company has generously offered two scholarships to CEIBS MBA students who have an interest in private equity. read

GE's Global Chief Learning Officer Speaks to CEIBS on "Developing Growth Leaders in the 21st Century"

Shanghai campus -- CEIBS students and faculty filled the Shanghai campus auditorium tonight to hear GE Vice President for Executive Development and Chief Learning Officer Susan Peters explain the company' s successful formula for attracting and retaining top-caliber staff. FRESH BREW: Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz Shares Business Advice at CEIBS    

On November 2, 2007 CEIBS made history as the first business school worldwide to host the inaugural filming of a new show produced by CNN called The Boardroom Master Class. The idea behind the show was to bring a world class CEO - in this case, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz - to the campus of one of the world' s leading business schools - i.e. CEIBS - for a new twist on CNN' s popular interview program The Boardroom. Shanghai Star Business Journal -- To do an MBA or not, this is a question  

This year, a total of 52,000 students have registered for China' s MBA entrance exam, indicating an annual growth of 27.5 percent. In Shanghai alone, over 7,000 people have joined the intense contest for an MBA degree, although many famous business schools have announced to raise the tuition this year by as much as 10 percent. Obviously, the surging number of MBA pursuers is in line with the ambition for impressive salary, high position, and promising career promotion. However, some experts said it is advisable to watch your step before making such a decision. Full Article
