Cathay Capital Private Equity Invests in CEIBS Entrepreneurs

September 20, 2017. Beijing – Cathay Capital Private Equity will invest in CEIBS Entrepreneurial Leadership Camp (CELC). CEIBS Vice President, Co-Dean and Cathay Capital Chair Professor of Accounting Ding Yuan and Cathay Capital Founder and President Mingpo Cai (EMBA 2004 & CEO 2009) signed the donation agreement in a ceremony today at the Cathay Capital Private Equity Annual Forum in Beijing. This is the third investment the company has made in CEIBS. In 2011 it endowed a chair professorship and in 2015 it invested in a Global Private Equity Research Fund.

In his remarks at the ceremony Dean Ding thanked Cathay Capital on behalf of the school.  “In response to the government’s call for ‘mass entrepreneurship and innovation’, CEIBS has launched several entrepreneurial education programmes. This donation is aimed at supporting our CELC,” he said. “We expect more companies will give a boost to CEIBS. The school stands ready to deliver services to alumni companies. We are pleased to see the growth of companies like Cathay Capital.”

Mr. Cai noted in his remarks that integrity and capability are the top hiring criteria of Cathay Capital. He said that Cathay team members always deeply appreciate any assistance they receive from others which is why Cathay Capital is committed to giving back as it strives to forge ahead.
