CEIBS Hosts MBA Recruiter Appreciation Workshop 2017 in Shenzhen

June 16, 2017. Shenzhen – Long term recruiters and new partners such as Beijing Genomics Institute, China Fortune Land Development, China Resources, Gallup, Huawei, KPMG, Share Capital, LinkedIn, Nestle, TCL, and Tencent were among the companies that joined the CEIBS MBA Recruiter Appreciation Workshop in Shenzhen today.  As a frontier of innovation and entrepreneurship, Shenzhen provides a favourable environment for fast-growing Chinese enterprises, many of which collaborate with CEIBS to satisfy their growing demand for high-end talent.  Professor of Management Juan Fernandez, Director of Admissions and Career Services Yvonne Li and Assistant Director of MBA Career Development Center (CDC) Jennifer Zhao attended the workshop in order to further strengthen the school’s relationship with employers and to discuss future talent requirements.

Professor Fernandez thanked the recruiters for their ongoing support of the MBA programme. In his keynote speech titled “Leading Through Innovation”, Prof. Fernandez highlighted some of the key findings from CEIBS’ China Business Survey 2017 and shared the significance of what will be the future driving force in the Chinese economy – innovation. He also urged the audience to reflect on “What story is your company telling?” as a fundamental question to consider at the start of new stage of innovation.

Vice President of TCL Group and Chief Human Resources Officer of TCL Multimedia Chris Xu gave a keynote speech on TCL’s approach to innovation. She noted that in the VUCA era (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity), an organization should focus on the elements that remain certain, such as business nature, human nature and competitive products. She also shared how TLC empowers their employees to innovate, central to which is their comprehensive training scheme covering the values, actions, resources, processes and standards that have proven critical for success.

CEIBS MBA Programme was the first to establish a dedicated Career Development Center (CDC) in mainland China, aiming to enhance students’ career development capabilities and career goals. Global recognition of the quality of CEIBS MBA graduates is not only a product of their overall skill, deep understanding of China and international perspectives, but also reflects the comprehensive support that is provided by the school and the CDC. The MBA2018 recruiting season kicks off on September 1, 2017. Those interested in learning more about recruitment opportunities with CEIBS can contact us at cdc@ceibs.edu or +86 21 2890 5142.
