CEIBS International MBAs to Intern at Globalizing Chinese Enterprises
April 1, 2017. Nanjing – CEIBS’ international MBA students will be able to intern at some of China’s recent champions of globalization under a series of agreements the School signed with four Chinese enterprises: Chervon, Landsea, Sanpower and Jinsheng Group, at a ceremony today in Nanjing. CEIBS Vice President and Dean Prof. Ding Yuan signed the agreements on behalf of the school. The companies also hosted a group of students this week who are participating in the CEIBS MBA Career Development Centre’s first local Career Trek dedicated to international MBA students.
Chervon Chairman Mr. Pan Longquan (CEO 2008) signed the agreement on behalf his company, which has recently completed a series of mergers with European companies including Flex, Calmdura, Fema and Bosch subsidiary Skil. Mr. Pan warmly welcomed CEIBS MBAs to join the internship program as Chervon continues to grow from its start-up roots to leading brand within the power tools industry.
Founded in 2001, Landsea has differentiated itself in the real estate sector by becoming a leading developer of green tech properties. Chairman Mr. Tian Ming (EMBA 2005) expressed his enthusiasm for the internship project and invited CEIBS students to join Landsea either in China, or at one of their global locations.
Sanpower is a modern conglomerate whose portfolio includes investment, trading, information service, healthcare and real estate services. Since 2014, the group has completed several global mergers and acquisitions which include US and UK retail giants Brookstone and House of Fraser. In her remarks at the ceremony Group Senior HR Assistant President and Group academy Vice Dean Ms. Cui Chunlan said “As Sanpower continues to globalize, we require international talents and therefore look forward to closer cooperation with CEIBS”.
Located in Changzhou, high-end industrial manufacturing group Jinsheng has expanded its footprint across 132 countries, with half of its 10,000 employees located overseas. Jingsheng Group Co-CEO and President Mr. Zhang Yueping (EMBA2009) attended the signing ceremony. He expressed his appreciation for the school, noting that a number of Jinsheng’s top executives are CEIBS alumni.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Dean Ding thanked the recruiters for their support and expressed the significance of CEIBS enhancing its cooperation with Chinese enterprises and the contribution students and alumni can make on the road to globalization.
