Profs Park & Schuh Make Global Top 40 Under 40 B-School Faculty List

March 27, 2017. Shanghai – CEIBS Assistant Professor of Marketing Hyun Young Park and Assistant Professor of Management Sebastian Schuh have made Poets & Quants’ 2017 Top 40 Business Professors Under 40 list which was released today. The list recognises faculty who are the rising stars at business schools around the world. They must be nominated by their school to be considered for inclusion on the list.

Poets & Quants is a leading resource for in-depth information on global business schools and the MBA journey.

Both professors, who are very popular with students, are among those CEIBS has added over the last few years to an already impressive list of academics. Professor Park’s research focuses on how morality and emotion influence judgement and decision making. In particular, she examines how moral emotions such as anger, guilt, gratitude, and pride influence consumer spending decisions and mental accounting. In addition, her work experiences at A.T. Kearney, Bain & Company, and L’Oréal gave rise to her interest in the effects of branding on consumer identity and information processing. Inspired by her extensive volunteer work in Central Asia and Haiti she is also interested in charitable giving and non-profit organisations.

Professor Schuh is currently researching how leaders and subordinates develop mutual trust and how this impacts their cooperation and effectiveness. He is also doing research on organisations’ identity and its effects on employee performance. Before joining academia he worked in strategy consulting and advised companies and investors on the internet, media and telecommunications industries. He is a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and has been a visiting researcher at London Business School and Antai College of Economics and Management.
