CEIBS Faculty Visit ROI Festival Headquarters

October 11, 2016. Shanghai – CEIBS faculty today visited the corporate headquarters of ROI Festival, the most influential business creativity award in Asia that measures marketing return on investment. The group was welcomed by Festival Founder and Director Mr. He Xinhao (EMBA2015). During a roundtable discussion, Mr. He explained how he launched the Festival, and shared examples of some of the awards it has given out. He said his ultimate ambition is to make the ROI Festival one of the world‘s top five business creativity awards within the next three years.

Director of the CEIBS Centre for Health Care Management and Policy Prof. John Cai shared his thoughts on how to build a successful award programme. Prof. of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management Tae-Yeol Kim pointed out that setting up a clear matrix for measuring creativity will help companies to promote creativity. He also expressed strong interest in working closely with the award-winning companies on a future research project. Mr. He thanked the CEIBS faculty for their suggestions and said he hoped to cooperate more in the future.

The company visit was organized by the CEIBS Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) to help faculty gain a first-hand understanding of the challenges faced by Chinese companies. Other CEIBS faculty and staff who participated in the company included Prof. of Marketing Wang Gao, Prof. of Management Practice Sophie Chen, Assistant Professor of Management Zhang Yu, Assistant Professor of Management Sebastian Schuh, Assistant Professor of Management Emily David, Deputy Director of CEIBS Alumni Relations Office Ms. Tanya Fu, Assistant Director of the EMBA Programme Ellen Zhang, Senior Manager, CTL Daniel Ren, and Dean’s Office Administration Officers Mary Xue and Ellen Li.
