Shanghai-based China Europe International Business School continues to move up in the Financial Times' ranking of the top 100 MBA programs in the world.
The school was listed in 21st place on this year's list, CEIBS officials announced yesterday.
This is the third consecutive years the 11-year-old business school has had the top-ranked MBA program in Asia. CEIBS was founded by the Shanghai government and the European Union.
"We are quite excited about the ranking result," said Rolf D. Cremer, vice president of CEIBS. "The rise of CEIBS in the past two years came mainly from the success of our graduates in the marketplace."
Moving up one slot from last year's ranking, CEIBS saw its full-time MBA graduates' weighed salary in the third year after graduation rise by 154 percent to reach US$135,562 on average.
About 97 percent of graduates find employment within three years of graduation - the third highest employment rate among the 100 listed schools.
The school's rating was also helped by its growing percentage of faculty members with a doctorate, a larger number of international teachers, and a higher rating for its research work.
The school still ranked poorly on student's international mobility.
School officials also revealed yesterday that tuition fees for its MBA program will continue to rise this year. The cost of a two-year, full-time MBA program is expected to rise from last year's 148,000 yuan (US$18,384) to 158,000 yuan this year.
Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania is in the top place in this year's ranking.
