CEIBS & Chatham House Release Report, Co-host Roundtable Talks

May 11, 2012. Shanghai – CEIBS Lujiazui International Finance Research Centre (CLFC) and Chatham House today co-hosted a seminar to explore the topic of “Shifting Capital: the Rise of Financial Centres in Greater China”. Chatham House’s report on the topic was also released during the event. The high-level discussion was among policy makers and insiders from international finance markets as well as researchers from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong who are focused on establishing Shanghai as a global financial centre. The seminar was held at the CEIBS Lujiazui International Finance Research Centre on the Huangpu River. Participants included numerous top-level representatives from the finance community, and more than 20 media organizations.

CEIBS Shanghai Campus – Mr. Xavier PRATS MONNÉ, the Deputy Director-General for Education and Culture at the European Commission, today held informal talks with a team from CEIBS in which he explored potential areas of deeper collaboration between the school and the European Union within the context of education in the 21st century. The stopover to the school’s Shanghai Campus was among the activities scheduled during Mr. PRATS MONNÉ’s visit to China to attend UNESCO’s 3rd International Congress on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
