2nd CEMS Corporate Roundtable Discussion on Emerging Market Strategy

CEIBS Center for Emerging Market Studies (CEMS) is hosting its 2nd Corporate Roundtable Discussion on Emerging Market Strategy in the afternoon of Tuesday, April 11th, 2017, at CEIBS Shanghai campus.

This event is exclusively designed to bridge corporates and global senior fellows to exchange their experience and knowledge in emerging markets. Via this platform, we expect the attending corporate representatives can benefit from our fellows' expertise, while the fellows develop a better understanding of the emerging market issues/topics that concern corporates the most.

This event expects to have around 30 attending companies, half of which will be MNCs and the others Chinese local companies. The Center has invited 2 senior fellows (from U.S. and UK) and another 3 senior professors at CEIBS to share their research output at the event, all of whom are prominent scholars in the field of emerging market.

 Event Purposes:

  • Bridging the Center's senior fellows and corporate executives and managers to communicate, explore and discuss the most pioneering knowledge and the most concerning challenges about emerging markets
  • Networking with executives and managers from high-performancing MNCs and emerging local companies
  • Connecting with the most prominent scholars in the field of emerging market

Event Format: 

  • The Center has invited 2 out of its 38 affiliated senior fellows, along with 3 professors from the CEIBS faculties, to briefly share their research output and corporate implications. Attending corporate representatives will join the discussions according to these presentations, and bring up the issues and challenges in emerging markets their companies concern.
  • The Center will conduct surveys before the event with the attending corporate representatives to solicit the topics, questions and issues they and their companies concern. The Center will categorize the solicited questions, and discuss all of them at the event.

Attendance Requirments:

The attending corporate representative has to be currently serving one of the following roles:

  • Top executive
  • Regional general manager
  • Director of Strategy/Marketing/HR Department.
