CEIBS Executive President Zhu Xiaoming Meets with Dean of University of California, Davis Business School

June 19, 2010. Shanghai campus -- CEIBS Executive President Professor Zhu Xiaoming this afternoon met with Dean and Professor of Management in the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Davis Steven Currall and Principal Officer for International Business Development, UC Davis Health System Dr. Cheyenne Currall. CEIBS' Dean's Office Director Helen Xu and MBA Programme Operations Director Yvonne Li also attended the meeting during which both sides explored the potential for future collaboration.

The talks got underway with Dean Currall providing an overview of UC Davis Graduate School of Management. The institution, he said, is ranked among the US' Top 20 and has three campuses. He also spoke of his great interest in China and a desire to work closely with CEIBS in the future.

Next, President Zhu shared details of CEIBS brief but impressive history, telling the guests that while "CEIBS is a young business school, it is at the forefront of the Pudong areas reform and opening up, and the school has developed very rapidly." He also made the point that one of CEIBS' renowned faculty members, Professor of Economics and Finance Xu Xiaonian is a UC Davis alumnus. CEIBS, Prof. Zhu added, recruits talented professors from across the globe.

In terms of cooperation between CEIBS and UC Davis, Director Xu proposed that the two schools begin by exploring MBA students' exchange, and then pursue other possible areas step by step.

After an exchange of gifts on both sides, the visit concluded with a campus tour.
