President Zhu Xiaoming Delivers Lecture to Students from Tuck School of Business

June 3, 2009 -- CEIBS President Zhu Xiaoming delivered a lecture to some 20 faculty members and students of Global Leadership 2020 -- a flagship programme of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth -- during their visit to the CEIBS Shanghai campus today.

President Zhu, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Committee of the Chinese People's Consultative Conference, was invited to deliver the lecture in his capacity as both a municipal government official and a professor of CEIBS. Drawing on his years of leadership experience in both government and industry, President Zhu outlined the role that the Chinese government has played at various stages of China's opening-up and development process. His presentation was supported by solid data on foreign capital, import & export trade and overseas investment.

President Zhu's speech was followed by a Q&A session in which CEIBS Vice President and Co-Dean Zhang Weijiong fielded the students' questions.

During today's visit, President Zhu and Vice President Zhang also met with Associate Dean of the MBA Programme and Professor of International Economics at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Dr Matthew J. Slaughter. Professor Slaughter co-directs Tuck's flagship executive-education programme Global Leadership 2020.
