May 18, 2009. Shanghai campus -- A truck full of computers and school bags donated by CEIBS alumni departed from the school gate toady en route to students in Beichuan and Mianzhu in Sichuan Province. The donations are scheduled to arrive within four days.  CEIBS President Zhu Xiaoming, COSCO Logistics (Shanghai) Director Mr. Li Hu, Director of CEIBS Alumni Relations Office Mr. Wang Qingjiang, Representatives from Love Alliance Mr. Yan Jun and Mr. Dong Weihai attended the ceremony to mark the send-off.

It took Love Alliance three months to collect the items for donation. All the computers will be delivered to Nan Ba Middle School in Pu Wu Village, in the Mianyang area. Meanwhile, 400 school bags which were made by Mr. Lu Jiangning's (EMBA 2007) company will be delivered to Tong Kou Elementary School in Beichuan.

After the collection of the items, alumni were concerned about how they would be transported to the areas in which they were needed. However, when Love Alliance Secretary Mr. Luo Nianci contacted COSCO Logistics (Shanghai), they immediately offered to transport the items for the entire trip from Shanghai to Sichuan.

President Zhu Xiaoming expressed his appreciation to all the CEIBS alumni who helped and to COSCO Logistics (Shanghai). He said, "Although it has been one year since the Wenchuan Earthquake, our alumni and companies like COSCO Logistics (Shanghai) continue facing up to their social responsibility. We are very impressed by their spirit of charity."

After the donations arrive at the disaster area on May 22, Love Alliance Vice President Mr. Wang Lingjiang will travel to Mianyang to receive the goods; he will also be responsible for the installation and testing of the computers.
