
April 28, 2009. -- The 8th Euro-China Forum got underway today in China's Tianjin Municipality under the theme "Enhancing China-Europe Cooperation In a Time of Global Challenges".
Organized by the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), Nankai University, the Tianjin Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Tianjin People's Political Consultative Conference, the two-day event brings together policymakers, academics, and representatives from business and media circles. It also serves as a platform for young leaders to meet and prepare for the future.
Said David Gosset, Founder of the Euro-China Forum: "We are honoured by the participation of outstanding personalities both from Europe and China and we value the intellectual contributions of all those who have kindly accepted to be moderators or speakers."

Among the impressive list of speakers for the event are: Gerhard Schroeder, former Chancellor of Germany; Laurent Fabius, former Prime Minister of France and President of the French National Assembly; and Zhang Gaoli, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee.
