August 12, 2008. Shanghai Campus - CEIBS President Zhu Xiaoming today visited Mr. Lance Browne, Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank, China at the financial institution’s offices in the Shanghai Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone.
During an address in which he gave an overview of the CEIBS Lujiazui International Finance Research Centre, President Zhu said he looked forward to mutual collaboration and cooperation with Standard Chartered Bank in the future. Mr. Browne, who expressed his sincere thanks to President Zhu for making the visit, noted that as an honorary citizen of Shanghai, he hopes to make a contribution to Shanghai’s economic and financial development, a goal shared by the CEIBS Lujiazui International Finance Research Centre.
In China, Standard Chartered Bank set up its first branch in Shanghai in 1858, and has remained in operation for the past 150 years.
