This ambitious program features 14 top entertainers from China and Spain in an evening of entertainment and Olympic spirit created by a past and a future host city of The Games. The concert airs on Beijing TV between May 3 and May 11:
• Saturday, May 3 (3.55-5.25pm)
• Sunday, May 4 (3.40-4.30pm)
• Sunday May 11 (3.40-4.30pm)
Highlights of the Barcelona-Beijing Olympic Concert include renowned Spanish opera singer Montserrat Caballe singing "Barcelona," the stirring theme song to the 1992 Olympic Games held in that city, followed by singers Yang Mei Ju performing "Glorious" and Huang Dou Dou with "Oracle."

The sister-city concert was the brainchild of Yang Lan and the company she founded, Sun Media Corp. CEIBS Executive President Pedro Nueno also served as an advisor to the concert project. "The purpose of this concert was to bring together two Olympic cities ? Barcelona and Beijing -- in a spirit of international cooperation and celebration," said President Nueno, speaking at the filming of the concert in Barcelona on February 27.

Ms. Yang added that the concert was the first in what will be a series of such cooperative concerts produced before the August Opening Ceremonies.
