April 14, 2008. Shanghai campus. - Want to get the latest buzz on what's happening on campus? Then check out Shenme? CEIBS first-ever student-run newspaper. Launched in January 2008 by three enthusiastic students -- Jordana Blanchet, Jimmy Grossmann and Steven Khoo -- from the class of 2007 to 2009, Shenme? is an informal forum for CEIBS students and professors to highlight their talents, experiences and opinions.
Published in January 2008, the first 16-page edition included a colourful blend of articles about section parties, plus students’ internship and exchange experiences. The publication' s magazine-style format helps create a fun mix of useful business and school-related information which the editors hope will help students get to know each other better and strengthen the CEIBS community.

Shenme? which means "What?" in Mandarin, is a name that captures the essence of the newspaper's purpose, which is to report on what is happening on and around the Shanghai campus. Students are encouraged to contribute articles and photos which would help to regularize publication dates and ensure that the newspaper becomes a lasting CEIBS tradition. Any of the editors may be contacted for submissions, or for anyone who wants to volunteer to work on the editorial team's story ideas.

Student donations helped get the first edition off the ground, but by using mainly local business support the editors hope to regularly publish Shenme? and offer it free of charge on campus. The newspaper is now published every two months, but its editors are optimistic that publication will be more frequent when MBA 2008 takes over next year.

Copies are distributed in students' mailboxes; and extras can be obtained from the editors.
